Paige and Derek weren’t letting anything get in the way of their perfect Rock Bottom Pond wedding day—including a little rain!
Despite a drizzly forecast, the bride and groom were all smiles as they prepped to say, “I do.” Their family and friends surrounded them with love as they donned their wedding day best.
To design their neutral modern wedding, the couple relied heavily on textured fabrics (like the bride’s stunning gown), lots of greenery in the decorations, and every shade of white and beige in the books. Their monochrome approach was anything but boring, as the simple but clean design allowed the beauty of the venue to shine through.
For her wedding at Southern Oaks in Gilbert, South Carolina, bride Faithe knew she wanted something different. “From an aesthetic stand point my inspiration behind our big day was Southern Glam. I knew I wanted to incorporate the right amount of elegance and class, but also have a rustic and timeless feel,” she says.
Charleston might not have much snow or ice, so winter weddings in the Lowcountry have to get a bit creative. For their winter wonderland wedding styled shoot, event coordinator Nicki Paige and photographer Leigh Hayward instead turned their attention to the lovely greenery that stays bright and beautiful year round in our mild climate, and used that as inspiration.
