When you're out shopping for a wedding dress, you want to find boutique team who is as excited about your dress as you are!
Cindy Flohr and her staff at Inlet Bridal in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina seeks to do just that with each and every one of the brides who walk through their doors.
Although Inlet Bridal is new to the Grand Strand wedding scene--they opened their doors in March 2018--they've quickly earned a place on every Myrtle Beach bride's must-visit list.
With a wide variety of gowns and accessories in the store, Inlet Bridal offers a selection of items that brides can try on, purchase, and take home all in one day. They've also got plenty of other customizable gowns if you're looking to create a one-of-a-kind gown, too!
Tell us a little bit about your path to success. What led you to this profession? Did you always want to be in the wedding industry?
A few years ago, I sold wedding gowns out of my home after acquiring about 400 Alfred Angelo gowns from a friend of mine.
I enjoyed the work so much, that my goal was to have a retail bridal boutique of my own!
By featuring a large inventory of designer wedding gowns, veils and accessories all available for same day purchase, I provide brides with the unique opportunity to take their wedding gown home the same day!
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the SC wedding industry?
Make sure you have enough start up capital to do it right.
What's one thing you wish all of your clients knew before walking into your store?
That my mission is to create a friendly, relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere, and I am here to assist them by making their wedding gown shopping experience the very best.
The bride's satisfaction is most important to me. Customer service is #1 on my list!
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
That I get very emotional when brides try on wedding gowns, and I have to fight back the tears!
What is the best part about working/living in South Carolina? Are you a native? If so, what's made you stay? If you're a transplant, what attracted you to this state?
I moved to South Carolina in 1977 from Ohio with my parents. I was 15 at the time.
The best part about working and living in South Carolina is meeting such a wide variety of people from all over the country.
I'm never leaving this climate and wonderful way of life!
What has been your best moment working in the SC wedding industry so far?
My best moment is being nominated for Best Bridal Shop in the 2018 South Strand News Readers' Choice Awards, which is a celebration of the best our community's locally owned businesses.
I am very grateful and feel honored to have been nominated!
Each week, Palmetto State Weddings will introduce our readers to one of the talented vendors from around our beautiful state through the Spotlight On series. If you're interested in being featured, please contact us.
