Jean and John’s elegant Country Club of Charleston wedding highlighted the loveliness of their Lowcountry venues, while allowing the baby blues and neutrals of the wedding wardrobe to blend seamlessly with the backgrounds.
The couple used the Country Club of Charleston as their home base during their busy day, first getting dressed on site, then for their first look before the ceremony. Says photographer Emily Meeks: “One of my favorite parts of the day was their sweet first look at the Country Club of Charleston. I LOVED seeing John’s reaction to seeing Jean. She was absolutely stunning in her Pronovias wedding gown!”
Jean and John used those extra moments to get their formal portraits finished, then headed off to the Summerall Chapel on the Citadel’s campus to exchange vows. Here, John made sure that everyone felt as if they were an integral part of the wedding day. “[In another] favorite moment of the day, John greeted just about all of his guests as they entered the church, The Citadel’s Summerall Chapel,” Emily Meeks remembers.
Once they’d said “I Do” in the historic chapel, it was time to head back to the Country Club of Charleston for dinner, drinks, and merriment!
